SURVIVING MARS

Through coding and engineering activities, children learn about technologies needed for space travel. They build and debug sensors, learn code, and leverage technology including Pictoblox coding, Arduino circuitry, and Lego robotics.

Second Steps
Children will learn to use the software “Pictoblox” with Arduino and an LED system that can be controlled by a button or autonomously with light dependent resistor readings.

Communications Systems
Children will create and code two different ways to communicate with fellow astronauts in Mars using magnets and Arduino coding.
